General Description
:
Location. Named after the minaret mountains, the minaret lodge in wanaka, newish zealand, is located next to lake wanaka and within walking distance of the wanaka town centre. The lodge sits on a two- acre, park-like setting with landscaped grounds and a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery surrounded by oak, silver birch and larch trees. Hotel features. The minaret lodge serves traditional cooked or continental breakfasts each morning and offers a three-course dinner with wine, featuring seasonal food selections. Lodge facilities include a spa, sauna, petanque, mountain bikes and ski storage. The lodge is built of adobe and has a plastered, schist-stone finish used to reflect the traditional style of the central otago region. This mud-brick construction was built in the 1950s and renovated extensively in 2001 when the guestrooms were added. Guestrooms. The minaret lodge has five guestrooms with private ensuites and bathrooms.
