General Description: 11 brand new self contained luxury apartments (opened august 2007) all with balconies and marvellous views of lake wakatipu & the remarkables mountain range. Be careful when booking accommodation in queenstown! Alta apartments are a 900 metre downhill walk to the steamer wharf where the tss earnslaw departs daily. Some other apartments in queenstown are not so readily accessible to town. Modern stainless steel kitchen appliances, leather lounge suites, sharp 32" high definition lcd television, sony home theatre system with wall mounted rear speakers. Alta is a wireless hotspot. Prepaid internet cards starting from nz $6 for 2 hours connection time can be purchased from the onsite manager.
