General Description
:
The convent, built for french nuns in 1911, is now a b&b owned by fifth generation new zealanders, judith and jenny hughey and gordon cockerell. The owners' backgrounds are in journalism, house restoration and human rights legal work. You will enjoy good conversation, chatting about new zealand, and authentic hospitality. At the elderly convent, the accommodation is just four minutes from the kaikoura town centre, even though the b&b is set in farmland under the seaward kaikoura mountains. Surrounded with a lovely garden, you are warranted a pleasing stay.
