General Description: The lodge is a paradise for nature lovers and for those wanting a quiet retreat away from the pressures of the ultramodern world.On arrival we give you a duplicate of our up to the minute activities programme, maps and information. Forget your car for a couple of days and settle in and explore. Radiating from the lodge is a network of rainforest and tasman seacoast walks. In front of the lodge there is a fleet of canoes for you to explore the moeraki river and you can paddle the short distance up the river to the lake. We acquire 24 rainforest rooms and 4 more luxurious riverview rooms. Rainforest rooms acquire forest outlooks and each has its own bathroom and tea and coffee making facilites, fresh fruit and flowers. appropriate for a couple or 2 adults and 1 child under 12 sharing. Rooms with an interconnecting door are avaiable for families. Riverview rooms are appropriate for a couple or 2 adults only. They are not available for children. Rooms acquire their own deck with gorgeous views down the moeraki river rapids. More luxurious with a spa bath and separate shower.
