Rooms are individually decorated in a themed period style, to complement the castle. Each has a fine view of the ocean 1000 feet below. All rooms are ensuite and acquire heater, phone, radio alarm, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and television. Lodge guests can dine in the castle dining room, bookings are essential. Specialties include scottish cuisine, haggis ceremonies, amongst other dishes. petite check-in locality with a lot of character. Located a twenty-minute scenic drive from dunedin city in the grounds of the famous larnach castle. One of the things to see in dunedin locality is the royal albatross yellow-eyed pengiun colony, which is 30 minutes drive. Visitors can enjoy a tour of the castle, or admire the wonderful gardens, which margaret barker has been working hard devloping for the last 30 years.
