Hawke’s bay is a great locality to visit, we acquire abundant vineyards (80 at the last count!), an abundance of orchards and soft fruit farms, farmers markets and surf beaches all within half an hour’s drive. The art deco architecture attracts visitors from around the world.

Napier was destroyed by a large earthquake in 1931 and the city centre was rebuilt within 2 yrs in the art deco style of that decade. It is now recognised as an architectural gem. In february each year, the earthquake is commemorated with a shining hearted art deco festival, 4 days of everything 1930’s and it’s a great way to spend a few days! The summer also brings a plethora of outdoor concerts and events from opera to aging rock stars and more ultramodern music, something for everyone and a wine festival as well!!
