General Description
:
The okoroire hotel is a beautiful, well known 'olde world' country hotel built in the 1880s and nestled in 80 acres of park ambience on the banks of the waihou river. The hotel is constructed from native timbers and is a veritable example of a true kiwi hotel. It quickly became legendary for its level of comfort and service, as well as the healing qualities of the local hot springs and the overwhelming beauty of the surrounding countryside. The heritage wing of the hotel has undergone an extensive upgrade. These rooms are spiffing, with lovely new bathrooms. This wing also includes our conference facilities. The front of the hotel now boasts a large deck where locals and visitors enjoy late afternoon drinks and watch light fade over the golf course.
